Published: March 25, 2013
As a result of the ongoing fight between Warri Wolves and Enugu Rangers over the rights to African Cup of Nations revelation Sunday Mba, Romanian club CFR Cluj have cooled their interest in the Nigeria international, allnigeriasoccer.com can reveal.
Two weeks before the close of the Romanian winter transfer market , representatives of Cluj were in advanced negotiations with the hierarchy at Warri Wolves and were willing to part with more than 600,000 euros for the signature of the central midfielder.
Now, CFR Cluj have temporarily halted negotiations with their Nigerian counterparts until the ownership of the player is resolved.
The Romanian champions could come back for Sunday Mba when the transfer market reopens in the summer if he remains a free player.
Clubs in Sweden (Malmo) and Ukraine (FC Karpaty) have made enquiries on the availability of the Super Eagle, who was in action against the Harambee Stars of Kenya this past weekend.
