According to Prosport.ro, Steaua Bucharest have cooled their interest in
the Israel international Toto Tamuz, who was scouted this past weekend by manager Mihai Stoica.
Gigi Becali, the owner of The Red and Blues, has strongly hinted that the club has given up their chase for Tamuz because injured striker Stefan Nikolic will return to the squad before the start of next season.
Toto Tamuz, who is Hapoel's top scorer in the championship with 10 goals in 21 matches, becomes a free agent in the summer.
Valladolid, Vitesse Arnhem, Sivasspor and Bursaspor courted him in the January transfer window.
