Bayern Munich To Offer David Alaba New Contract
Published: April 11, 2013
Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer has announced that the German champions plan to extend the contract of David Alaba at the end of the season.
David Alaba's contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer of 2015.
The 20 - year - old has impressed especially in the Champions League and Bayern chiefs are desperate to tie him down to a longer contract to scare away potential suitors.
Matthias Sammer told Kicker: ''There is not a lot of time left until 2015. When we are convinced about a player, we have so far always reacted early.
''We need to act early in cases where contracts expire in 2015, otherwise you end up with a poker game and this only causes unrest.
''David is a good lad and a fantastic player. Bayern needs to keep such players.''
