Akeem Agbetu Gets His Groove Back
Published: April 13, 2013
Former Nigeria Under 20 international Akeem Agbetu failed to score in his first nine games for TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor in the Turkish First League.
His poor form in front of goal earlier in the season, which made him depart Boluspor in the winter transfer market, is now just a thing of the past.
The attacker has netted in back to back games against Bucaspor (April 7) and 1461 Trabzon (April 13).
''I feel great and elated because I was at the hospital last night until 3:30 am before going back to my hotel room. And the coach trusted me, and still wanted me to start today against Trabzon.
''These two goals have given me confidence and I believe I can do it even more,'' says a grinning Agbetu to allnigeriasoccer.com.
TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor, 16th on the table with 32 points, need to be at their best in their next four games if they are to escape relegation to Turkey's third - tier.
