Sporting Braga Win League Cup

Sporting Braga have won the Portuguese League Cup after defeating Porto 1 - 0 on Saturday at Estádio EFAPEL .
The scorer of the match winning goal was Brazilian striker Alan, who netted from the penalty spot in first half injury time.
Though, he was not selected the man of the match, Nigerian left back Uwa Echiejile gave a good account of himself.
Readers of Portuguese sports daily Record rated him higher than all the Porto players that were fielded.
Antonio Salvador, president of Braga, was proud of the League Cup triumph and has thanked the fans that supported the team.
He told reporters: ''Today we can all be proud of the achievement. Already there looking for the big time. Always said that was near and fortunately happened.
''Dedicate it to all of you, the Minho region and professionals in the club, but also to our coach.''
