Nosa Igiebor Apologizes To Betis Fans
Published: April 16, 2013
Nigeria midfielder Nosa Igiebor has sensationally revealed that he was racially abused by supporters of Real Betis while warming up in Friday's tie with city rivals Sevilla.
Nosa Igiebor, who was on target in the 3 - 3 draw, made an offensive gesture to the fans of Real Betis.
He has realized his mistake and publicly apologized for his misbehavior.
The Nigeria international said the gesture was not directed to the whole supporters but only a minority.
Nosa said on Twitter: ''I wish to apologize to the fans for the gesture which was not aimed at them but I will not put up with the racial abuse I was receiving from a few mindless fans. My act was out of frustration.''
The incident is currently being investigated by the Spanish Football Federation.
