Brown Ideye Breaks Ukrainian Premier League Record

Nigeria international Brown Ideye on Saturday evening broke the Ukrainian Premier League record for goals scored by foreign players of Dynamo Kiev in a single season after netting a brace in the 25th round of matches against Zorya.

Ideye's goals in the 39th and 80th minute saw him move one clear of the previous record which was held by Guinea international Ismael Bangoura, who achieved the feat by scoring 15 goals in the 2007 - 2008 campaign.

The top goal scorer for Dynamo Kiev in a single season is jointly held by Sergei Rebrov (1998)and Maxim Shatskikh (2003). Both players recorded 22 goals.
