Rubin Kazan Among Clubs Interested In Taye Taiwo
Published: April 23, 2013
Russian Premier League outfit Rubin Kazan will challenge Dynamo Kiev as well as clubs in Portugal, Turkey and England for the signature of experienced Nigerian defender Taye Taiwo, says the online edition of Russian newspaper Izvestia.
Rubin Kazan have started preparing for the likely departure of Argentina international Cristian Ansaldi in the summer transfer window and have beamed their searchlight on Taye Taiwo as his replacement.
Fabio Parisi, who represents Taye Taiwo, has admitted that European clubs are interested in his client.
However, the Italian agent is being secretive about the future destination of the free-kick expert.
''I would not want to name specific clubs that are interested Taye Taiwo and who would like to buy him from Milan.
''I can only say that after the expiration of the rental agreement with Dynamo Kiev, Taiwo will have to return to Milan since he has an existing contract with the Rossoneri.
''What happens next remains to be seen. Need to wait for the official opening of the summer transfer window,'' Fabio Parisi told izvestia.ru.
Transfer market experts value Taye Taiwo, who is under contract at AC Milan until 2014, at € 4.5 million.
