Ahmed Musa Eyes Russian Title
Published: April 26, 2013
Having not lost a game since the league resumed after its winter break, CSKA Moscow are targeting their first title since 2006.
With five rounds of matches remaining in the Russian Premier League, the capital club are just four points ahead of closest challengers for the league diadem, Zenit St Petersburg.
Nigeria international Ahmed Musa has commented on the chances of CSKA Moscow wrestling the title from Zenit St Petersburg.
Musa told bobsoccer.ru: ''On one hand, the advantage is quite comfortable. On the other hand, not very much because in the remaining rounds, there are 15 points to play for.
'' I think we should not think about the standings. At least I'm doing just that. Most importantly, it is CSKA that are the leaders of the Russian Championship.
''There are tough matches ahead however. Be that as it may, we are committed only to win the championship. After a month, I hope it will be CSKA celebrating success.''
Ahmed Musa, who is now playing a more forward role, has netted 10 goals in 23 matches.
