Football Expert, Hasan Egilmez Tips Golden Eaglets To Win Final
Published: April 27, 2013
Football expert Hassan Egilmez, who is in Morocco to run the rule over some of Africa's brightest youngsters, has commented on the final match at the CAF Under 17 championship between Nigeria's Golden Eaglets and Côte d'Ivoire's Young Elephants.
Nigeria qualified for the final by defeating Tunisia 4 - 2 while Côte d'Ivoire narrowly beat Morocco by 2 goals to 1.
''The expectations here in Morocco are that without any doubt Nigeria will emerge African champions like their big brother (the Super Eagles, ed) did earlier this year.
''It is unfortunate that they lost the group game against Côte d'Ivoire. Today, they will show everybody that this team is what I told the world months ago. I am tipping them to be champions.
''The players in this team have a big future. I am expecting an explosive match,'' Hasan Egilmez told allnigeriasoccer.com.
It would be the Golden Eaglets third triumph if they conquer their Ivorian counterparts on Saturday evening.
They won the competition in 2001 (Seychelles) and 2007 (Togo).
