Apa United defensive midfielder Idoko Ogike Friday could not hide his happiness after the third - tier side defeated their illustrious opponents Lobi Stars 6-5 on penalties to win the Benue State Federation Cup on Saturday.
''I am very happy, big moment for me. I am not surprised we won because we did not fear the opponents . We prepared well for this game and got our tactics right.
''It is special to win the Cup, this is one of the highlights of my young career and is a sign I will win bigger trophies in future.
''The Senate President, David Mark will host the team at the golf club on Sunday. Who knows , he may reward us for our efforts which did not come on a platter of gold,'' Idoko Friday told allnigeriasoccer.com in a telephone conversation.
