Vincent Enyeama To Return To Lille
Published: May 07, 2013
Despite the lure of Champions League football, Nigeria custodian Vincent Enyeama is set to snub the offer of Maccabi Tel Aviv to remain at the club for next season.
He will return to Lille when the loan agreement between the Israeli champions and Lille expires in the coming weeks
Israeli website one.co.il says Enyeama is being paid 900,000 euros a year at Lille. Maccabi Tel Aviv only paid Lille 300,000 euros to borrow the Nigeria international.
The loan terms do not match and Maccabi Tel Aviv do not have the financial muscle to acquire Vincent Enyeama outright from Lille.
This season, Enyeama, who is expected to skipper the Nigeria selection at the Fifa Confederations Cup, made 26 appearances in the Israeli championship.
