Published: May 08, 2013
It had earlier been reported that Romanians CFR Cluj will not offer Nigeria international Obiora Nwankwo a permanent contract at the end of the season in June.
CFR Cluj have not impressed in the current campaign and are set to offload several players including Obiora Nwankwo.
Even though Nwankwo's contract with Parma expires in June 2014, he is unlikely to play for the club in the 2013 - 2014 campaign, representatives of the defensive midfielder have told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Ahead of the opening of the transfer window, Nwankwo's agent is searching for a new team for the player.
Obiora Nwankwo has been linked with a move to Besiktas in the summer transfer market, but there has been no official approach by the Turkish club.
