Spartak Moscow attacker Emmanuel Emenike, who recently underwent surgery in Italy, has told the official YouTube channel of the club that his rehabilitation is going according to plan.

''I am fine. The operation went well. Hopefully, the training camp, I am going to train full time.

''I think the player of the year in Spartak Moscow is Dmitri Kombarov,'' Emenike said to Spartak Moscow Youtube channel

The 26 - year - old will miss Nigeria's World Cup qualifying matches in June against Kenya and Namibia as well as the Fifa Confederations Cup.

Emmanuel Emenike is expected to return to the pitch early June. He played 16 games in the Russian Premier League this campaign.
