Super Eagles Land In KenyaKenya’s opponents in the World Cup Qualifier match on Wednesday Super Eagles of Nigeria jeted into the country in the thick of the night on Tuesday from Frankfurt, Germany where they had connected a flight to Kenya from Mexico.

According to FKF Chief Executive Officer Michael Esakwa who received them at the airport, the Nigerian contingent of 34, 24 players and 10 officials jetted in to the country at 1:40am and were duly given escort to their hotel.

However, according to Esakwa, Nigeria rejected the arranged 680 hotel accommodation and instead looked for their own accommodation at the La Mada Hotel on Thika Road just near the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.

“We really pleaded with them not to hustle for another hotel in the thick of the night but they totally rejected. We had even brought for them a bus but they rejected it and instead used it to put their luggage. We gave them security to their hotel and ensured that they were safe,” Esakwa told Michezoafrika.com.

The team is expected to have a feel of the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani later on this evening as per the FIFA rules.

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel who had Visa issues arrived earlier than the rest of the team through British Airways.
