Anthony Nwakaeme has missed out on a dream move to Romania powerhouse Steaua Bucharest after medical tests revealed that he has problems with cartilage.
Authoritative Romanian website prosport.ro says the 24 - year - old Universitatea Cluj striker traveled to the capital at the start of the week to undergo a routine medical before the offer of a contract.
After the unsuccessful medical examination, the leadership of Steaua Bucharest called off negotiation and have put his case in the drawer.
The 24 - time champions of Romania have now turned their attention to another Nigerian striker - Varese's Osariemen Ebagua.
