Exclusive: Belenenses Offer Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo Four - Year Deal
Published: June 10, 2013
Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo has concluded negotiations with Portuguese topflight club Belenenses, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively reveal.
If there are no last minute changes, the 21 - year - old striker would be presented with a four - year contract by last season's Segunda Liga champions.
It is now left for the Board of Belenenses to meet and rubber-stamp Nwankwo's transfer. But today, Monday is a public holiday in Portugal (Portugal Day), so that deliberation has been postponed to Tuesday.
Nwankwo was also linked with Vitória de Guimarães, Gil Vicente, Servette and Jagiellonia Bialystok this summer.
Now a free agent, he had been offered a two - year contract extension by Portimonense S.C, but he rejected the proposal as he has a desire to play in the Primeira Liga.
