Yuri Semin, the new coach of Azerbaijan Premier League, Gabala FK, is interested in acquiring Nigeria youth international Abdulwaheed Afolabi.
''Afolabi went to Gabala, wants to see Yuri Semin, who believes that the striker will play all the time and score in Azerbaijan,'' Dmitry Selyuk, who represents Afolabi, was quoted as saying by azerisport.com.
It would be recalled that Abdulwaheed Afolabi unilaterally terminated his contract with Kuban Krasnodar after he was banished to the youth team.
The attacker played only two matches for Kuban in the Russian Premier League.
