Peter Utaka's Asking Price Scares Beijing Guoan
Published: June 15, 2013
Though he has failed to live up to his high standards this season, Nigeria international Peter Utaka is still on the wish list of other teams in the summer transfer market.
According to Peninsula Morning News - Haili Network, in pole position for Utaka's signature is CSL side Beijing Guoan.
Beijing Guoan are now managed by Serbian Aleksandar Stanojevi, incidentally the same coach who handled Dalian Aerbin in the 2012 campaign.
It could be a reunion for master and pupil if the attacker's transfer to the capital club materializes.
At the moment, Dalian Aerbin have not been officially approached by Beijing Guoan for Peter Utaka's signature.
Perhaps, the transfer fee being quoted, approximately $2 million is scaring the club away.
The Super Eagle, who has netted three times this season, has contractual obligations with Dalian Aerbin until December 2014.
