Stephen Keshi: We Don't Know If Onazi Will Come
Published: June 20, 2013
Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi has cleared the air on reports making the rounds that Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi will travel to Salvador to link up with the rest of his colleagues.
Recall that Onazi got injured in the World Cup qualifying fixture against Namibia and failed to travel with the team to Brazil.
''Regarding Onazi, we do not know if he will come. We're not worried about it.
''We have three important games in qualifying for the World Cup. That is the most important to us.
''Clear that the Confederations Cup is good, but this is a cup from which we are learning. But we will not force the issue with him,'' Keshi was quoted as saying by globoesporte.globo.com.
20 - year - old Eddy Onazi is expected to be out for a month, according to initial diagnosis of his knee injury.
