Exclusive: Abiola Dauda Targets Sweden Call - UpRed Star Belgrade's Abiola Dauda acquired a Swedish Passport last week.

The 25 - year - old striker, who arrived Sweden seven years ago, represented Sölvesborgs GoIF and Kalmar FF before signing a two - and - a - half - year contract with Red Star Belgrade just before the close of the winter transfer market.

While Dauda is leaving his options open, he has admitted that he would love to wear the yellow jersey of Sweden if he is handed a call up by manager Erik Hamrén.

''I am not married to a Swede; lived in the country since 2006. It would be a great opportunity to play for Sweden if I am invited. But the Sweden coach is not in contact with me at the moment.

''I look forward to the day I step on the same pitch with Ibrahimovic and Toivonen, representing the same country.

''Though I have not closed the door on the Super Eagles, I guess things are done differently when it comes to playing for the national team. I don't know why I am being snubbed by coach Stephen Keshi,'' Dauda told allnigeriasoccer.com.

This past season, Abiola Dauda netted 4 goals in his last 8 games in the Serbian Super Liga.
