Published: June 30, 2013
Nigeria international Peter Utaka has been criticized in recent weeks for his lack of goals for Chinese Super League club Dalian Aerbin.
But the 29 - year - old attacker proved on Sunday that he has not lost his prowess in front of goal by netting a double brace in the 15th round of matches against Hangzhou.
The game played at the Yellow Dragon Sports Center was heading for a draw, with the scoreline tied at 3 -3, until Peter Utaka's match winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
The ex OB Odense hero has now scored 5 goals in his last 5 matches in the championship.
Peter Utaka, who is valued at a transfer fee of approximately $2 million, is attracting interest from Beijing Guoan in the summer transfer market.
He has contractual obligations with Dalian Aerbin until December 2014.
