Published: July 08, 2013
The 19 - year - old attacker, one of the top youngsters in her homeland, has put pen to paper on a two - year contract which keeps her in Lower Saxony until June 2015.
Desire Oparanozie is thought to have highlighted her potential to the technical bench of Wolfsburg when her past team FK Rossiyanka clashed with the Germans in last season's UEFA Women's Champions League.
''It has always been my greatest wish to play once in the Bundesliga. And now I can even wear the jersey of the best team in Europe.
''I thank God, for it is truly a dream come true for me. I will now do anything to find my way into the first team and to help the team with my skills.
''I also hope to win with the team the title,'' Oparanozie stated.
In football terms, the Falcons attacker is a globetrotter as she represented teams in Russia (Rossiyanka) and Turkey (Düvenciler Lisesi) before completing the switch to the treble winners.
