Published: July 08, 2013
Nigeria stopper Godfrey Oboabona is targeting a move to one of the top leagues in Europe in no distant future.
The 22 - year - old has been impressive for club and country in the last one - year and was in the squad which won the African Nations Cup back in February as well as this summer's Fifa Confederations Cup.
''I want to play in a top league. I'll consider clubs in England, France, Portugal, Spain, Italy or Germany that come for my services.
''I don't mean a club based in Africa like Ivory Coast or Ghana. There is no difference between the leagues in other African countries and what we have here in Nigeria,'' says Godfrey Oboabona to allnigeriasoccer.com.
A number of clubs in Europe including Lille and Metallurg Donetsk have been linked with a move for the Sunshine Stars skipper.
Allnigeriasoccer.com's expert values Oboabona at a transfer fee of 650,000 euros.
