Stephen Keshi Not Giving Up On Godfrey Oboabona
Published: June 19, 2014
Super Eagles manager, Stephen Keshi, is hoping one of his favorite pupils Godfrey Oboabona will recover from the foot injury he suffered against Iran in time for the meeting with Bosnia.
Recall that Oboabona had to be substituted in the 29th minute after an Iranian attacker stamped his studs on the feet of the Rizespor defender.
“Yes, I have received the medical reports on Godfrey and we are still very hopeful that before the D-day he may still make it.
“Let’s just be hopeful because he is an important player in the team,” Keshi said.
23 - year - old Godfrey Oboabona did not participate in the last two training sessions held by the Nigeria squad.
