Published: August 12, 2014
Nigerian striker Emmanuel Okoduwa may continue his career in a championship he is accustomed to - the Ukrainian Premier League.
Sport.ua says the 30 - year - old is in advanced talks with Metalist regarding a switch, and will start practicing with the Kharkiv based side as from Wednesday.
Last February, the one - cap Nigeria international trained with the reserve team of Dynamo Kiev, but did not sign on the dotted line after the exercise.
Emmanuel Okoduwa is well known in Ukraine after emerging the top goalscorer in the Premier League with 15 goals back in 2006 while on the payroll of Arsenal Kiev.
Since he departed Dynamo Kiev four years ago, he has had limited success with the teams he played for including Kuban, Enosis Neon Paralimni and AEK Larnaca.
Should his shift to Metalist materialize as widely expected, he will join experienced Nigerian defender Yussuf Ayila at the club.
