Odemwingie Gives Stoke City Teammate Peter Skapetis Hope
Published: May 01, 2015
Australia youth international Peter Skapetis says Peter Odemwingie’s return to full fitness has given him a reason to believe that he will survive a similar ailment suffered by the Super Eagles star.
The Stoke City youth - teamer suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury while on international duty for Australia’s Under 20 squad.
“It’s never a nice thing to go through, but having been in the gym and going through all of the work alongside Peter has really helped me,” Peter Skapetis told stokecityfc.com.
“Seeing his attitude towards it and overcoming it has been a big help to be honest, and it has helped drive me on to come back from it better and stronger than I was before.
“Having been with Peter for a long time, and speaking to him on a daily basis, it was fantastic to see him step back on to the pitch last weekend.”
Peter Odemwingie, who comes off contract The Potters in June, has had 119 minutes of game time under his belt this season due to an injury he picked up against Man City last August.
