Published: May 08, 2015
Hon Abdul Adama paid a surprise visit to the training ground of Confluence Queens on Thursday evening.
The former chairman of the Nigeria Women Premier League side breezed in to the Mainbowl of the Lokoja Confluence Stadium and was welcomed by players and officials of the club.
“Football will always be my passion. I just cannot live without,” the young administrator was quoted as saying by the media officer of the club Ojo Oluwatosin.
Mallam Adama apologized to the team for taking a big decision in resigning a position he held for 19 months.
“It was a big decision I took, but life must go on. I sincerely apologize to you all and wish you the best in your career.
He also praised the team’s gallant performance in the NWPL week one loss to Delta Queens, while urging them to be focused and be ready for the task that lies ahead.
“I read reports of your exploits at the Oleh Township Stadium. It’s not easy scoring a goal away from home and I’m so proud of you all.
“The race to success has just begun and I hope you all step up and make the state proud in subsequent matches.”
The management of the club led by Abdul Sule thanked Abdul Adama for his gesture and prayed for success in his future endeavours.
