Peter Odemwingie Eyes New Stoke City Deal
Published: May 23, 2015
Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie has no hesitation over the extension of his contract with Stoke City.
Unless The Potters agree terms with the forward in the next one month or so, he will walk away as a free agent before the start of pre - season training.
No thanks to a cruciate ligament injury, Odemwingie could only make 6 Premier League appearances this term but he is not ruling out prolonging his stay at Stoke despite the few games under his belt.
“I’m 34 this year and if this is my last couple of years in the Premier League then I feel I can do myself justice,” Odemwingie was quoted as saying Mirror.
“Maybe we can come to an agreement.
"Stoke is a good club, I’m happy here and maybe Southampton can be a good example - they could be in Europe next year and that’s something we could aim for.”
The former Lille man has netted 37 goals in 123 matches since his switch to the Premier League from Lokomotiv Moscow.
