Ex-Nigeria U20 Invitee On Target For Crystal Palace U23s But Game Abandoned
Published: January 24, 2018
Freddie Ladapo was on target for Crystal Palace U23s against Charlton Athletic at Sparrows Lane on Wednesday afternoon but the game could not be completed due to a waterlogged pitch.
In the Professional Development League 2 South clash, the former Flying Eagles invitee hooked the ball into the net from close range to give Palace the lead in the sixth minute.
And the scoreline remained the same until the game was called off in the 32nd minute.
The young Nigerian midfielder Joseph Hungbo was on the bench for the Eagles, while Josh Umerah made the Addicks starting line-up.
The 24-year-old Ladapo is Crystal Palace's top scorer in the Professional Development League 2 with nine goals, including his strike today.
He made his first team debut for the London club against Manchester United in September 2017.
