Super Eagles Fly To Kaliningrad Two Days Before Showdown Against Croatia
Published: June 12, 2018Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Super Eagles will fly to Kaliningrad on June 14, two days before their World Cup opener against Croatia.
The Nigerian delegation arrived at their base camp in Yessentuki later than planned as the plane that brought them from their training camp in Austria was delayed for more than one hour.
A day after the meeting with Croatia at Kaliningrad Stadium (Kaliningrad), they will return to Essentuki to begin preparations for their second fixture with Iceland.
The Super Eagles players have complained of weariness following the long flight to Russia and will not train on grass until this afternoon, starting from 1615 hours.
Five hundred people, including children and journalists, are expected to watch the national team workout today.
Iceland and Argentina are the remaining countries in Group D of the 2018 World Cup.
