Ex-Man Utd Midfielder Kehinde Shares His Thoughts On Super Eagles Performance At World Cup
Published: July 05, 2018Former Manchester United starlet Tosin Kehinde was delighted with the performance of the Super Eagles at the 2018 World despite the three-time African champions failing to progress to the knock out rounds of the competition.
The midfielder has argued that Nigeria had the youngest team in Russia, with an average age of 25.9 years, and he is hoping to make the squad for Qatar 2022 having pledged his future to the Super Eagles ahead of the Three Lions.
''Considering the average age of the team, they did well," said Kehinde to ESPN.
"It was always going to be a tough group and they only just went out. They can be very proud of themselves and the future is bright.
"It's the type of competition you want to be involved in. It definitely gives you a lot of encouragement that they are willing to give chances to young players."

Though Kehinde ran out of contract with Manchester United last weekend, he is still training with the Old Trafford outfit while his representatives thrash out a new deal with the club.
