Netherlands International Impressed By Stoke's Signing Of Nigerian World Cup Star Etebo
Published: July 20, 2018Netherlands star Bruno Martins Indi has revealed that he is impressed by Stoke City's reaction to their relegation to the Championship, with the club signing Nigerian World Cup star Oghenekaro Etebo and Benik Afobe.
The Potters have also tied down key players Joe Allen and Moritz Bauer to new long-term deals as they aim to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Etebo agreed a five-year deal with Stoke City in the days leading up to the start of the 2018 World Cup after snubbing overtures from Premier League clubs, including Watford.
''It’s good to see players committing to the Club - I spoke to Tony (Scholes) last week and I told him the Club had made some great signings,'' Martins Indi said to Stoke City's official website in Germany.
''That’s good and it is very positive, but the rest of the conversation will remain between me and him!''
