Official : Crystal Palace Loan Out Nigerian Winger Tipped To Follow In The Footsteps Of Victor Moses
Published: January 19, 2019Crystal Palace have announced that promising Nigerian winger Joseph Hungbo has been loaned out to Isthmian League Premier Division side Margate for the remainder of the season.
Hungbo has been turning heads in London with a string of fine displays for The Eagles Academy teams over the past few years and was getting close to making his first-team debut but suffered a shoulder injury in a pre-season friendly against Kingstonian.
The 19-year-old has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of ex-Palace winger Victor Moses by breaking into the first team in the not too distant future.
The supremely talented winger was the leading light in the Crystal Palace team that won the U18 Professional Development League South title last season, ending as their top scorer with 17 goals.
Having been linked with possible moves to Liverpool and Chelsea, Hungbo penned his first professional contract with Crystal Palace in July 2018.
He is available for selection for Saturday's league match against Haringey Borough but will miss the games against Lewes and Leatherhead due to a commitment to feature in a tournament in Israel.
