Official : Super Eagles Striker Returns To Swedish Champions AIK For Third Spell
Published: January 22, 2019Out of favor Nigeria international Chinedu Obasi has returned to Swedish Allsvenskan side AIK for a third spell.
AIK Fotboll informs via their official website that they have reached an agreement with Obasi over a deal that will run for the whole of the 2019 season.
The 32-year-old spent a portion of the 2016 and 2017 seasons at AIK, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances while providing five assists.
''It is always a pleasure to be back in AIK because, as I said before, it is home and I’m looking forward to performing in front of our amazing fans and I can’t wait to meet the team and everyone.
''I look forward to the preparation and the league,'' said Chinedu Obasi.
A product of Enugu Rangers, Obasi's other clubs include Lyn Oslo, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Schalke 04, Shenzhen, Bolton Wanderers and IF Elfsborg.
