Fenerbahce Coach Comments On Versatile Victor Moses Best Position For Club
Published: February 11, 2019Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal has revealed that Chelsea loanee Victor Moses will be used as a winger at the Yellow Canaries but has noted that the former Nigeria international has versatility in his locker.
The 28-year-old began his career as a striker at the youth team of Crystal Palace and is also capable of playing as a right winger, left winger, left wing-back, right wing-back and in the number ten role.
Moses found himself down the pecking order at Chelsea following the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, who prefers to set up his team in a 4-3-3 formation with Eden Hazard, Willian, Pedro and later Callum Hudson-Odoi ahead of the Nigerian.
''Moses is a very talented and important player. He has played in almost every position,'' Yanal said at Monday's press conference ahead of the Europa League clash against Zenit Saint Petersburg.
''We are not thinking much about using him outside his current position. We want to try him on the both wings.''
Moses was deployed on the left wing in his last two games for Fenerbahce against Göztepe and Kayserispor while he played on the right wing when he made his debut against Yeni Malatyaspor.
