Chelsea Handed Massive Injury Boost Ahead Of Trip To Nyon To Face Barcelona In UYL
Published: April 25, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chelsea have been handed a massive injury boost ahead of their trip to Nyon, Switzerland, where they face Barcelona in the semifinal of the UEFA Youth League on Friday, April 26.
English-born Nigerian midfielder Faustino Anjorin has resumed full training and has been named in Chelsea's provisional squad.
The Chelsea Goal of the Season nominee has not figured for Chelsea's youth teams since January 14 after suffering a serious back injury that had kept him on the sidelines for three months.
Anjorin was not involved in Chelsea's wins against AS Monaco, Montpellier and Dinamo Zagreb because of the ailment.
Apart from the Poole-born attacking midfielder, Ola Aina's brother Jordan, and the versatile Tariq Uwakwe have been registered by The Blues for the UEFA Youth League.
Currently tied on two wins with Barcelona, Chelsea would become the most successful team in UEFA Youth League history if they see off their Spanish opponents and win Monday's showpiece at the Colovray Stadium, Nyon.
