West Ham GK Becomes Provisionally Cap-tied To Nigeria; Also Eligible For England, Ireland
Daniel Jinadu has become provisionally cap-tied to Nigeria after making his competitive debut for the African giants as the U17 team left it late to beat Hungary 4-2 on Saturday evening, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The West Ham goalkeeper conceded two goals in the first half and had basically nothing to do in the second half.

Born in Nigeria, Jinadu is also eligible to represent the national teams of England and Republic of Ireland.

However, with his appearance against the Hungarians, he has to apply to FIFA for a one-time change of association if he decides to represent either England or Republic of Ireland.

Considering Jinadu's quality, a competitive debut for the Super Eagles in the coming years cannot be ruled out.

The 17-year-old appeared for England at U15 and U16 levels before switching his allegiance to Nigeria, then made his debut for the Golden Eaglets in a 1-0 loss to Japan in a pre-World Cup friendly.

Jinadu became the first player on the books of a Premier League club to play for Nigeria at the FIFA U17 World Cup.
