'We Have Built Up A Relationship With Him' - Hammarby Confirm Interest In Real Madrid, PSG Target Amoo
Published: November 09, 2019Sports manager of Hammarby, Jesper Jansson has admitted that the Swedish Allsvenskan side are interested in signing Nigeria U17 international Akinkunmi Amoo.
Nicknamed the Golden Eaglets Messi, the attacking midfielder was the standout player for the Nigeria U17s at the ongoing World Cup before they exited the tournament in Brazil.
Alllnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported on Friday that several top European teams not limited to Real Madrid, Valencia, Atlético Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Ajax Amsterdam and Paris Saint-Germain are battling to sign the Sidos Academy super kid.
Seven months ago, allnigeriasoccer.com had reported that Hammarby were in pole position to sign Amoo but now they will have to fend off interest from bigger European clubs.
'' We know him and are interested. We have built up a relationship with him for a long time. That's what I can tell you today, '' says the sports manager to FotbollDirekt.se.
''No, I have no comments at the moment'', Jesper Jansson replied when asked about competition from the big teams in Europe.
Amoo bagged an assist in each of his last three appearances for the Golden Eaglets at the 2019 World Cup.
