Manchester United Hero Quizzes Ighalo On Favourite Andy Cole Goal, First Goal For Club, Fitness
Published: March 03, 2020Odion Ighalo recently received a video call from Manchester United legend Andy Cole and was asked few questions regarding his early days at the Old Trafford outfit.
Cole's chat with the former Nigeria international must have taken place before Thursday, February 27 as the first question that was put to him was to describe how he would feel scoring his first goal for Manchester United.
In a video uploaded by Manchester United's official Twitter account, Ighalo said : "Well, it's going to be great because this is what I'm looking forward to. I have supported this club since when I was young and this is a great opportunity now for me to play and do well, so I'm looking forward to it".
In a Manchester United career spanning six years, Cole netted 121 goals in 275 appearances for the club.
When put on the spot and asked to pick his favourite Andy Cole goal, Ighalo answered : "There's a lot of goals I watched you score, I can't even pick one.
"I remember a goal, from the box, you brought the ball down with your chest and you shot inside the box, so that's one of the great goals I watched growing up".
The last question was on how Ighalo was preparing to be in tiptop condition as he was inactive for his Chinese club for two months before joining the Red Devils.
The Manchester United number 25 said : "I have been training with the team for sometime now and it's been great. It's a big club.
"When you are outside, you say Manchester United but now you are in and you know how big the club is, so I'm working everyday to be fit, to do what it takes for me to be a success in this team."
