'The Midfield Will Be Stable' - Ex-Golden Eaglets Stars Back Tijani To Make An Impact For Nigeria
Published: October 01, 2020Goalkeeper John Amah and attacking midfielder Olatomi Olaniyan, two members of the Golden Eaglets squad to the 2018 WAFU-UFOA Zone B qualifiers for the U17 AFCON, are backing Red Bull Salzburg loanee Samson Tijani to make an impact for the Super Eagles should he make his senior debut this month.
As captain of the Golden Eaglets, Tijani showed his qualities at the U17 AFCON and the World Cup in Brazil, and became the first Golden Eaglets player class of 2019 to make his professional debut for a European club when he started for TSV Hartberg in a 7-0 rout of Dornbirner SV in the OFB Cup on August 30.
"There was no surprise to see Tijani's name on the list and I believe he can break through," Amah said.
"Tijani is a very good marker, playing with Etebo and the likes of Ndidi, the midfield will be stable now, that I can assure."

Olaniyan added : "I think he's going to bring a breath of fresh air, he's a young boy that wants to do well for himself, for his family and for the country.
"He's going to bring that personality, that zeal and that enthusiasm of being young, so he's going to fit in perfectly, I am sure he's going to improve the team."
