Done Deal : Swedish Club IFK Norrkoping Sign Rosenborg Winger Adegbenro
Published: January 13, 2021Through a statement on their official website, Swedish Allsvenskan side IFK Norrkoping have confirmed the signing of Nigerian winger Samuel Adegbenro.
Adegbenro has spent the last six seasons with Norwegian clubs, starting with Viking before joining Rosenborg in August 2017.
The 25-year-old is credited with 24 goals and nineteen assists in 116 appearances in the Norwegian Eliteserien.
He has featured in the Europa League proper, Europa League qualifiers and Champions League qualifiers, scoring 5 goals in 27 matches.
In his first words after the deal was confirmed, Adegbenro said : "IFK Norrköping is one of the biggest clubs in Sweden and I look forward to this challenge. I am very happy to be here".
IFK Norrkoping manager Rikard Norling added : "We are very happy that we have managed to connect with Samuel. He is a player who for a long time played at the highest level in Norway and achieved success both nationally and internationally.
"Samuel is an offensive player who will give us additional edge".
