Super Eagles Hopeful Moffi Continues Recent Good Form With Another Winning Goal For Lorient
Published: February 09, 2021Terem Moffi continued his recent good form in France with another game-winning goal for FC Lorient as they recorded a 2-1 win over Paris at Stade Yves Allainmat - Le Moustoir (Lorient) on Tuesday to advance to the next round of the Coupe de France.
This is the second time in nine days that the 21-year-old striker has netted a winning goal for Lorient, having scored the decisive goal in the 91st minute of a 3-2 win against Paris Saint-Germain on January 31.
The Merlucciidaes fought back from being a goal behind to win the contest in the closing minutes.
At minute 71, Yoane Wissa scored from the spot to cancel out Moustapha Name's early opener, before Moffi struck with seven minutes left on the clock.
Moffi's form in France is prompting talk of a maiden Nigeria call up for the exciting youngster and Rohr has confirmed that he is keeping tabs on the former KV Kortrijk striker ahead of the Super Eagles games next month.
He has found the back of the net in six of his last eight games for Lorient in all competitions.
