2022 WCQ : How Super Eagles should line up in away match against Cape Verde
Published: September 03, 2021
The Super Eagles face Cape Verde in their second Group C game of the 2022 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday after Friday's 2-0 win against Liberia at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos.
Allnigeriasoccer.com's Izuchukwu Okosi picks his team to face Cape Verde at the Estádio Municipal Adérito Sena, Mindelo.
Goalkeeper : Maduka Okoye
Defence: Ola Aina, Jamilu Collins, Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omeruo
This defence is picked as none of them belong to the 'British legion' who are not expected to be part of the party to Cape Verde due to the red list zoning of the country.
Midfield: Innocent Bonke, Shehu Abdullahi, Chidera Ejuke
Bonke is naturally a defensive midfielder but Shehu Abdullahi often gets listed by Rohr as a midfielder. Chidera Ejuke is inventive and can be asked to do the play maker's job on Tuesday.
Attack: Henry Onyekuru, Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon
The duo of Onyekuru and Moses will be playing from the flanks while Napoli striker Osimhen will be hoping to return to scoring ways after firing blanks against Liberia

Goalkeeper : Maduka Okoye
Gernot Rohr is not a coach known for changing his team frequently so expect to see Okoye continue in goal at the expense of Daniel Akpeyi and Francis Uzoho.
