'Mourinho will say Tammy'- Ex-Roma LB on his preference between Osimhen and Abraham
Published: October 19, 2022Former AS Roma left-back Amedeo Carboni believes Victor Osimhem is more motivated than Tammy Abraham heading into Sunday's Serie A meeting between Roma and Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
The Nigeria international has fully recovered from a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for exactly five weeks and has netted in back-to-back matches since his return to action.
Carboni noted that Osimhen looked re-born in his last appearance against Bologna - a game in which he netted the match-winning goal after coming off the bench at halftime.
Abraham, who made a splash in his first season in the Serie A with 27 goals in 53 games, has been out of form this season, scoring just two goals in thirteen matches across all competitions.
On his preference between Osimhen and Abraham, Carboni said on 1 Football Club, a radio program broadcast on 1 Station Radio : "Abraham or Osimhen? Mourinho will say Tammy, Spalletti instead Victor… but the Nigerian, having Raspadori next to him, could be stimulated more.
"In the last race he looked like a child playing for the first time. Gallo Belotti, on the other hand, does not have the same function as Jack for the English striker."
Since joining Napoli in 2020, Osimhen has made three appearances against Roma in the Serie A without getting on the scoresheet, while Abraham fired blanks in two matches against the Blues.
