Published: November 14, 2022
Eleven players invited for the friendly against Portugal have reported for international duty in Portugal.
Ajax Amsterdam central defender Calvin Bassey has seemingly put to bed rumours about his potential withdrawal from the Nigeria squad by showing up in camp.
Bassey was substituted at halftime in Sunday's Dutch Eredivisie clash between Ajax and FC Emmen due to a knock.
Also in camp as at 1743 hours on Monday are Arsenal's Hale End Academy product Alex Iwobi and Tottenham Hotspur-reared center back William Troost-Ekong.
Boavista star Bruno Onyemaechi, who received his maiden Super Eagles call up last week, had no issues linking up with the squad as he is based in Portugal.
Joe Aribo, Kevin Akpoguma, Ademola Lookman, Emmanuel Dennis, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ebere Duru and Paul Onuachu complete the players in camp.
The Super Eagles will train for the first time on Portuguese soil this evening, starting from 2000 hours Nigerian time.
Super Eagles players in camp : Troost-Ekong, Iwobi, Onyemaechi, Akpoguma, Etebo, Duru, Dennis, Onuachu, Lookman, Bassey, Aribo.
