Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven interested in 2019 Flying Eagles invitee
Published: November 15, 2022
Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven are reportedly monitoring the contract situation of 2019 Flying Eagles invitee Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, with a summer move being mooted.
Fisayo has been one of the standout performers for Sheffield Wednesday this season, scoring crucial goals and setting up his teammates.
According to The Star, Turkish clubs Besiktas and Antalyaspor previously held interest in the former Flying Eagles invitee but will now have to rival 24-time Eredivisie champions PSV.
His new found form has endeared him to the Sheffield Wednesday faithful, but his time at the Hillsborough Stadium could be coming to an end as he is out of contract next June.
The 21-year-old and the Owls' hierarchy have not been able to reach a compromise over the terms of a new contract, leaving the Nigerian with a chance to be contacted from clubs outside of England.
Clubs outside the United Kingdom can strike a deal or pre-contract agreement in January 2023 if there's no headway in his contract situation.
A product of the Manchester City academy, Fisayo arrived at Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2020.
