Arsenal have reportedly offered a new deal to teenage midfielder of Nigerian descent Zach Schuaib ahead of next season.
According to Arsenal youth team expert Jeorge Bird, Schuaib has been offered a scholarship deal and will be part of the Gunners' intake for the 2023-2024 season if he accepts the offer.
All U17 players are required to sign scholarship forms with their respective clubs before signing their first professional contracts on or after their seventeenth birthday.
Schuaib has yet to make his competitive debut for Arsenal U18s but would be promoted to the team coached by Jack Wilshere next season if he signs on the dotted line.
History-making attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri will be part of Arsenal's first year scholars next season if he is not poached by a rival club, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City monitoring the progress of the England U17 international of Nigerian descent with a view to a transfer.
Hale End Academy products Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom went on to represent the first team few years after signing scholarships with the north London club.
