Rangers mulling over signing left-footed Nigerian DM after impressing in friendly v Chelsea Youth
Published: April 24, 2023Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are mulling over a summer move for highly-rated Nigerian teenager Miracle Oguduba.
The Light Blues are considering signing the left-footed defensive midfielder after observing him at close quarters while on trials with the B team this month.
Oguduba caught the eye of Rangers youth team coaching staff in a behind-closed-doors friendly against St Johnstone before starring in a glamour friendly against Chelsea development squad.
The 18-year-old helped Rangers thrash St Johnstone 5-2 and also stood out after coming off the bench despite the Glasgow club losing 2-0 to Chelsea.
Oguduba is hoping to emulate another Brooke House College product Thompson Ishaka who was acquired by Rangers following a successful trial last summer.
The two teenagers played for Nigerian grassroots club Riverlane Football Academy Enugu before moving to the United Kingdom.
Rangers B, who compete in the Scottish Lowland Football League or the fifth tier of Scottish football, face Caledonian Braves in their final league game of the season on April 25,
They will do battle with city rivals Celtic in the final of the Glasgow Cup.
