One in, one out: Tosin's proposed transfer to Monaco depends on a player being sold
Published: September 01, 2023
Tosin Adarabioyo's proposed move to Monaco now hinges on a player leaving the French Ligue 1 club on deadline day.
Monaco have been chasing the Nigerian central defender since the opening of the transfer window but Fulham have proved difficult during negotiations having rejected two bids from the Principality club.
Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in the homegrown player who is in the possession of a Nigerian passport but his priority is to join Monaco where he is likely to get more playing opportunities.
He has been training away from the Fulham first team ahead of a potential departure from Craven Cottage.
Monaco sporting director, Thiago Scuro revealed on Thursday that the club have to sell a player in order to sign Tosin.
In quotes relayed by Sky Sports UK, Scuro said: "To answer the question about the central defender, everything now is related to one in, one out – that’s the way we are working for the last days of the market"
Netherlands international striker of Ghanaian descent, Myron Boadu has been linked with a departure from Monaco on deadline day due to the arrival of Folarin Balogun from Arsenal.
